PurseImburse AI Expense Tracker
Expense tracker built for a non profit in Jamaica. Took staff expense reporting off paper: photograph a receipt and AI reads it, extracts the details and files the expense, so travel and lodging costs are never retyped and staff are reimbursed at the end of each quarter.

The problem
Staff at a non profit in Jamaica reported expenses on paper. Travel and lodging costs were written down, handed in, and retyped by someone else before anyone could be reimbursed.
The build
Built a web app where staff photograph a receipt and AI reads it, extracts the amount, vendor and date, and files the expense. Sign in with Google or email, expenses are grouped by quarter, and everything is in Jamaican dollars. Reimbursements are settled at the end of each quarter from the same view.
The outcome
Expense reporting is paper-free and nothing is retyped. Live in production at purseimburse.com.
